Traineeship

Traineeship

You do not need a comprehensive background in the fire safety sector to join the Churches Fire team. We have tailor-made our very own Traineeship Programme to allow someone with little or no knowledge of the industry to become a qualified engineer.

Our Traineeship Programme, lasting 12-18 months, provides all the support, guidance and training required in order for you cover all of the key elements for working as a technician in the fire safety services.

Services and products included in our Traineeship Programme include fire extinguishers, dry riser visual servicing, flow switch testing, emergency lighting, and conventional, addressable and radio fire alarm systems.

Whilst on the traineeship, you will accompany a mentoring technician who will guide you through the training path, helping to answer questions whenever they arise.

The training you will undertake on the programme will consist of internal and external courses, in addition to support guidance and regular catch up visits from the NTTM.

The Traineeship Programme, if completed in its entirety, consists of eleven phases, each teaching key skills, providing clear targets and working towards key milestones.

An example of the Programme Phases as follows: From Health and Safety training to understanding everyday safe working practices, Phase 1 of the Traineeship gives you an overview of how we work, on site protocol, how best to record information, servicing of products and meeting compliance standards.

Here at Churches Fire we aim to invest in people and grow teams to reach their maximum potential. If you are considering a career in the fire safety sector, our Traineeship Programme could be for you.
