CHURCHES FIRE & SECURITY DESIGN, MANAGE, INSTALL AND MAINTAIN HIGH-QUALITY SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, PREVENTING LOSS OF PROPERTY AND POTENTIAL LOSS OF LIFE
What is a Sprinkler System?
Sprinkler systems are comprehensive fire suppression method, designed to ensure the protection of both property and life – quickly recognising and suppressing fires.
Sprinkler systems save lives and save properties. They are the most common fire suppression method that can detect a fire, sound the alarm, call the fire brigade and suppress the fire. In most cases, the fire is fully extinguished.
How Do Sprinklers Work?
When exposed to a specified temperature, sprinklers release a jet of water as an even spray. Each sprinkler works independently. Wherever a fire travels, the increased heat activates the nearest sprinkler, fighting the fire as it moves.

Sprinkler Systems Explained
The key benefits of sprinkler systems include: increased building evacuation timescales, reduced insurance premiums, minimisation of water damage (compared to fire brigade services), and containment or extinguishing of fires within short timescales. Sprinkler systems are typically a fire safety requirement in shopping centres, distribution centres, warehouses, and factories.
Our team have over 30 years of experience designing sprinkler systems for all industry sectors. Using the latest CAD and Full Hydraulic Calculation design systems, our LPC qualified engineers both design and modify systems to the highest codes and standards. We are regularly audited by our third party accreditation organisation, thus maintaining the highest of standards in design, installation and maintenance.
We take pride in all our systems – they are built to last. With our field team providing quality on-going maintenance, you can be sure that they will serve your company for years to come.
Our highly-skilled and experienced technicians around the UK are trained with the perfect skill set to carry out immediate repairs and maintenance on your sprinkler systems, without having to call out an installation team. Our team regularly undergo training to keep up to date with the latest sprinkler rules and technology, meaning that you will never be caught out by new legislation or left without potentially life-saving developments.
Sprinklers can come in many various sizes, temperature ratings and styles. There are specific sprinklers for domestic, industrial, commercial, and institutional situations. We work with you, discussing your design expectations and assessing your building structure to find the perfect products for your safety.
With have in-depth knowledge of the best sprinkler products available and can suggest a wide range of options, from downward facing sprinklers that can be used in false ceilings to sprinklers that are concealed only displaying a subtle disc. Sprinklers can be supplied as a ‘standard response’ or ‘quick response’ to meet requirements of operation.
The following are common types of sprinkler systems:
- Wet: This sprinkler system is under pressure and charged with water at all times. With water being readily available, wet sprinkler systems are quick to react when activated. These are most commonly used in buildings where there is a possibility of the pipes being frozen.
- Dry: Compressed air fills dry systems where there is a possibility of the pipes being frozen. When heat is detected, the air pressure drops and a valve opens to allow water to discharge over the fire.
- Pre-action: Working similarly to dry systems, pre-action pipes are commonly filled with compressed air with water only being released if there is a definite risk of fire, when a smoke or heat detection system has been activated. Pre-action sprinkler systems provide the added defence against accidental water damage in areas such as data centres, archives and libraries or laboratories.
