WHAT IS INTRUDER ALARM MONITORING?

With an intruder alarm located on your business premises, you can increase the level of security protection with monitoring.

A monitored system sends a signal when it is triggered that connects to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) via the telephone line or cellular network.

The on-site ARC at Churches Fire & Security is a permanently manned location with staff dedicated to monitoring intruder alarms and alerting the relevant people as necessary.

ADDITIONAL LEVEL OF SECURITY

Churches Fire & Security can connect your intruder alarm system to an ARC via a secure signalling network.

When an alarm is triggered, the secure signal is received at the ARC from the customer control panel. This action will happen even if there is an attack on the communications line or fault present.

The intruder and fire alarm systems can both be connected to the same ARC, adding protection from theft as well as fire from the same trusted supplier.

The most basic option of intruder alarm uses audible bell signals to alert. With monitoring, you have the option of two different types of response. A nominated key holder can be alerted, or the signal is sent to the ARC. Depending on the arrangement in place, the ARC can then contact the keyholder or initiate the police or security guard response. It’s worth noting that the police will only attend when the alarm triggering is confirmed as an actual intrusion and not a false alarm.
