Essential Fire Safety Signage for Your Building
Why are fire alarms required?
Fire safety signs are a vital part of fire protection, keeping individuals informed about the fire evacuation or safety procedures for your building.

Fire safety sign regulations
Churches Fire & Security specify, supply and install a complete range of fire safety signs. These are not a replacement for other fire prevention and safety services, but they reduce risk by warning customers, employees and visitors of measures they may be required to take and making them aware of any danger posed by fire.
Churches Fire & Security will make sure that you have the appropriate fire safety signs correctly displayed, complying with the Health & Safety (Safety Signs & Signals) Regulations, manufactured to BS 5499. Fire safety signs should be pictographic – they may also include text or arrows but they should never use only text, ensuring that signs are easy to understand in an emergency.

There are a variety of different fire safety signs, colour coordinated according to their safety category:
Circular blue signs are MANDATORY signs that must be obeyed as a legal requirement.

Red signs are FIRE FIGHTING signs that indicate the location of fire safety equipment.
