Dealing with fire incidents
A large fire broke out at a council-owned recycling centre. Thankfully, nobody was injured. However, several pieces of fire equipment that Churches Fire & Security maintain were activated including smoke detection, the fire alarm system, and the fire alarm monitoring.
Thanks to the meticulously planned processes, the activation of the fire alarm system sent an immediate alert to the alarm receiving centre (ARC) on-site at our company headquarters.
The ARC responder handled the alert with composure and precision, ensuring the site was made aware of the fire in well-under the specified industry response time of under 30 seconds.
The emergency services were brought in immediately. And, the day after the fire incident, one of our experienced fire technicians attended the site to disable the fire alarm system and return the site to a temporary operational state.
