In December 2023, Churches Fire & Security began a partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham council to service and maintain a respite property.
During our initial service visit in January 2024, our technician replaced several detectors and batteries to bring the property in-line with British Standards. Services provided to the property include heat detectors and a fire alarm system.
Responding to a Fire Emergency
In February 2024, just a month after we replaced out-of-date equipment, a candle was left burning unattended in one of the bedrooms. This caused a fire to ignite and the fire alarm to sound. Luckily a neighbour heard the alarm ringing and called the emergency services.
Thankfully, everyone was evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
Service & Maintenance
We were informed of the fire the following day, and our technician was on-site the same day to assess the damage.
Following the visit, the system was running as required, with a quotation provided to the customer for heat detector replacements.
