What is a sprinkler system?
Sprinkler systems are a comprehensive fire suppression method, designed to ensure the protection of both property and life – quickly recognising and suppressing fires.
Sprinkler systems save lives and save properties. They are the most common fire suppression method that can detect a fire, sound the alarm, call the fire brigade and suppress the fire. In most cases, the fire is fully extinguished.
How do Sprinklers work?
When exposed to a specified temperature, sprinklers release a jet of water as an even spray. Each sprinkler works independently. Wherever a fire travels, the increased heat activates the nearest sprinkler, fighting the fire as it moves.

Sprinkler Systems Explained
Why do I need Sprinkler Systems?
Category M systems are manual systems and rely on the occupants of the building discovering the fire and operating the system to warn others. Such systems are a basic requirement in places of employment with no sleeping risk In addition to manual means of triggering an alarm, L category systems will also normally have an element of coverage using automatic fire detection such as smoke or heat detectors.
