Responding to a Fire Emergency
In the early hours of a summer day in 2025, Churches Fire & Security were alerted to a Fire Alarm activation at a long-standing customer in the West Midlands. Our dedicated call handlers took immediate action and alerted the keyholder on file. Within a minute, the fire was confirmed and the brigade was called to attend the site.
Suspected to have been caused accidentally by an electrical fault on-site, Sprinklers and the Fire Alarm System operated in sync to alert our Alarm Receiving Centre to the emergency. Personnel at the customer site used Fire Extinguishers to assist, before the fire was contained by the Sprinkler System and the fire brigade attended to fully extinguish the fire.
Thankfully, everyone was evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
Service & Maintenance
Alerted via Fire Alarm Monitoring from Churches, our in-house team of operators were able to quickly assess the situation thanks to the state-of-the-art technology we provide for all of our customer sites.
Within an hour of the alert, 4 of our technicians were on-site to assess and reset the Fire Alarm, Sprinkler System and replace used Fire Extinguishers. During the emergency and the aftermath, Churches staff handled the situation as they had been trained to – calmly, and with expert precision.
As a longstanding customer, we have built a relationship based on trust and collaboration. This ensures all fire services are consistently serviced and kept in good working order. Servicing for this customer includes weekly alarm testing, alarm monitoring, extinguisher testing and a sprinkler servicing program carried out at the required intervals of 3, 6 and twelve months.
