The month of May is National Walking Month and Mental Health Awareness.
Following on from the success of our challenge last year, we decided to run it again. Physical activities have the potential to enhance well-being and mood. Regular exercise, walking included, and fresh air can even reduce stress and anxiety.
The Challenge
To raise awareness and money for mental health, we challenged the entire team to walk more throughout May. Each person was encouraged to record their walking and running activities and compete against each other to complete the most kilometres in the month.

Success of the Challenge
Our team completed an incredible number of kilometres over the month, and we received lots of positive feedback on how the challenge encouraged everyone to get outside and active.
Congratulations to Natalie for completing an incredible 601.53km over the month, coming in first place. Kasia and Stuart took second and third place, both with impressive amounts of activity taking place.
First place prize was choosing a charity to donate £1000 to. Natalie has chosen to donate the money to Samaritans. Samaritans is a mental health charity working across the UK to provide 24/7 support to those suffering with mental health. The charity works to ensure that people have somewhere to turn for support when they need it most, campaigning to make suicide prevention a priority.
