Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) and certifications
Churches Fire are accredited in a number of Loss Prevention Standards across different types of fire safety products and services. The Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) has worked alongside government for over 100 years, defining standards for the safe performance of fire safety products; the LPCB are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). These certifications are widely recognised and ensures that our knowledge and training meets industry approved government standards.
Churches Fire appear in the LPCB RedBook Live, a list of all certificated products, services and companies, for accreditations ISO 9001:2008, LPS 1048 and LPS 1014.
Churches Fire is certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 – this is the International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and is awarded through the LPCB.

As a company designing, installing and maintaining sprinkler systems, our work must meet the standards set out by LPS 1048, audited by LPCB, of which Churches Fire has Level Three accreditation. This means that all of our sprinklers meet the highest quality, third party-assured standards. All of our servicing is audited to ISO 9001, so you can be sure that our processes are standardised and industry standard.
Fire Alarm Accreditations
All of our fire alarms meet the LPS 1014 specifications audited by LPCB and we are registered under the BAFE SP201 scheme. BAFE is an independent third party registration body for the fire protection industry. It supplies a technical specification that each product or service must meet in order to be registered. Each of these schemes are approved to ISO 9001. You can be sure that all Churches Fire products have been rigorously assessed by reputable third parties and have met the highest industry standards.
Churches Fire is registered to the BAFE SP101 scheme. This ensures that all our technicians to source, commission, site and service fire extinguishers. They are fully trained to work to the safest and highest standards within the industry. FIA – Fire Industry Association
The Fire Industry Association is a not-for-profit organisation, the largest fire protection trade association in the UK and a major provider of fire safety training. One of our senior fire safety team sits on the association’s Fire Risk Assessment Council. As a member of FIA, you can be sure that Churches Fire is always aware of the latest legislation and has access to the best technical advisors and training available.
BAFSA - British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association
The British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association is the UK’s leading professional trade association for the fire sprinkler industry. BAFSA is committed to ensuring sprinkler systems are installed to the highest standards. They promote the use of sprinkler systems by providing information about their benefits, working closely with authorities such as government, fire and rescue services and town planners.
Over 85% of all sprinkler systems in the UK are installed by BAFSA members and we are proud to be one of them. This means that we have access to the best technical advisors and the latest training. Our association with BAFSA means you can be confident that we are experts in installing and maintaining sprinkler systems.

IFEDA – Independent Fire Engineering and Distributors Association
The Independent Fire Engineering & Distributors Association was founded in 1989 to provide an independent representative body of fire trade companies. It exists to support members and ensure high quality standards and procedures throughout the fire safety industry.
IFEDA ensures its members meet the necessary ISO 9001 standards and BAFE schemes. They communicate key legislative changes and provide ongoing training. All of our fire safety team are IFEDA members, so you know that our staff are highly trained to third party standards.

As a company, we have a number of health and safety accreditations, so you can be sure that all our work conforms to the highest health and safety standards. Churches are a member of the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), Exor, Altius, and Safecontractor, who make sure contractors we use comply with the highest health and safety standards.
