How Bolster Systems Works

Partnering with Bolster Systems allows Churches Fire & Security technicians to carry out more efficient and simplified visual fire door inspections.

The survey and inspection app makes location, inspection, documentation and management of fire doors easier for everyone involved in the fire safety protection of a business.

How Bolster Systems Works

In the following video, we demonstrate how the app is used by Churches Fire & Security technicians.

There are four main working points in the Bolster Systems app, allowing technicians and customers alike to see how inspections are going, areas and issues to improve upon and to generate reports as required.

During the six-monthly visual fire door inspections carried out by our technicians, the hinges, door leaf and frame, self-closers, intumescent strips, locks and handles are visually checked.

When inspecting the premises for the first time, pins can be dropped on a building layout drawing within the app. The fire door locations will be highlighted, with details of issues, work areas, notes etc. Locating the areas to inspect is more efficient when the data in Bolster Systems is up-to-date.

The process is documented via photographs taken during inspection. These are then uploaded to the app and backed up to the cloud database. These photographs are provided to the customer in the final inspection report, noting works carried out and any areas of non-compliance.

The app allows technicians to manageĀ the visual fire door inspections for customers efficiently. With the information readily available when revisiting sites, time isn’t wasted looking for particular doors or areas. The customer is given peace of mind that works are carried out to the correct standards, and that they are meeting the legal requirements as set out in The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MAINTENANCE

There are clear advantages to using an app like Bolster Systems.

Churches Fire & Security are driven to helping our customers remain compliant with fire safety legislation. We work hard to convey the importance of expert fire door maintenance and inspection, encouraging people to look out for damage regularly between our visits.

Fire safety management is essential for every business to which The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies.

As well as the official visits from Churches Fire & Security technicians, regular checks should be noted by the responsible person and dealt with promptly.

Churches Fire & Security is proud to work in partnership with Bolster Systems to offer our customers a unified record of visual fire door inspections.
