Following the acquisition of fire protection company Olympic Fire Protection Ltd, Churchesfire keeps going from strength to strength growing its customer base and leading the way in fire safety equipment, service and maintenance.

We’re also expanding our team yet again and this November have welcomed Ranjit Potiwal to our Finance team, Karen Springham in Human Resources and Louise Martin leading the new marketing initiatives.Finance Assistant, HR Assistant and Marketing Executive

Ranjit Potiwal – Finance Trainee

Ranjit has joined Churchesfire as a Finance Trainee processing sales ledger receipts and offering support to the finance team as a whole.  After attending St George Catholic VA Collage, Ranjit went on to study Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry at Barton Peveril College – these qualifications and interest in accountancy meant Ranjit was a perfect fit for our vacant position.

Ranjit says, “I like working at Churchesfire because the staff are friendly, plus it’s great to have the chance to gain new skills from the different tasks I do”.

In his spare time Ranjit enjoys playing most sports – especially football, and is a great fan of FIFA on the Playstation 3.

Karen Springham – HR Assistant

Karen’s work experience has been quite varied over the years.  Before joining Churchesfire, she worked for Manpower UK for five years, in several roles within Recruitment, HR and Payroll.

After being made redundant in April 2010, Karen took a year out to spend time with her family in the Republic of Ireland and to travel around Europe – a ‘grown up Gap Year’ so to speak.  She travelled across Germany, Czech Republic, up to Poland and then down to Austria and Hungary, Croatia and across to Italy.

Karen has joined Churchesfire as a HR Assistant and will be working closely with our HR Director , to support staff and management.

Karen says “It’s an exciting time for Churchesfire, and as the company and team grows there is a need to ensure our staff are fully inducted and well equipped for everything they need from the company.  With my strong background in recruitment I can bring a wealth of experience to this position and I am excited about the direction the company is going in”.

Louise Martin – Marketing Executive

Louise has a strong marketing background and is enthusiastic and excited about coming on board with Churchesfire.  After graduating from a Masters in Marketing Communications from Bournemouth University, Louise has worked in a number of marketing positions which has enabled her to utilise and enhance her skills and broaden her marketing knowledge.  This experience means that Louise can bring fresh ideas and a solid understanding of marketing principles to Churchesfire.

Louise says “The Directors are heavily committed and recognise that additional support is required to move the company forward.  I am really excited about all of the different activities we are planning and looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the company”

Louise loves spending hours on Google programmes working out the best way to optimise websites.  Other than trawling through data, Louise is a self-confessed geek, with a passion for all things Sci-fi and Fantasy.
